As contract employees are placed on assignments, they become the employees of Headcount. As their employer of record, we handle all aspects of processing their weekly payroll, which includes timesheet submission and approval (the basis for employee pay, customer billing and recruiter profit), reporting taxes and providing liability insurance. We will handle payroll processing wherever your business may take you.

Headcount handles billing customers for the time the contractor works on a project. Electronic invoices are provided on a weekly basis and can be customized based on each customer's specific needs. The terms of our invoices are Net 30 days in order to give customers sufficient time to pay for the services provided.

Headcount realizes that it is difficult to track and manage a project effectively, especially if you are not the one receiving the contractor's timesheets each week. As the legal employer of record for temporary and contract staff, Headcount Management is responsible for all aspects of employment. You choose the people you want, set the pay scale and determine the length of the employment assignment. Headcount takes care of the rest by administering the payroll, accounting, and back office and HR functions associated with temporary workers - including workman's compensation, general liability and supplemental health benefits, state and federal deposits -- and employee taxes and reporting. Benefit eligibility is generally based on length of service, though some benefits are available immediately upon the start of an assignment as a Headcount employee.
